Because we are a small clinic with limited space, boarding is offered as a service only to clients of the hospital.
Reservations in advance are necessary to board. Please call well in advance, especially during the summer months and before holidays. If your plans change, please call to cancel the reservation so someone else may be able to stay.
Up-to-date vaccinations are required to board. Vaccinations will be administered at check-in if they are due or no proof is available of the pet’s vaccination status.
For dogs: Distemper combo with parvo (DA2PPC) and Bordetella.
For cats: Feline distemper combo (FDCRP)
Rabies vaccination is required for both.
Our kennels are inside with air conditioning and heat. Dogs are walked on a leash outside three times a day. Please let us know if your dog is not leash trained or has any problems with walking.
Check-in and release will be during office hours only.
Toys, blankets, etc., may be left, but should be limited. The hospital is not responsible for the soiling, damage, or loss of any belongings left with pets.
Heartworm preventative, vitamins, and medications will be administered when brought in and indicated by the owner. There may be a fee for this depending on meds.
Animals found with fleas, ticks, etc., will be treated at check-in. Animals will be watched for signs of internal parasites (worms), and if they are present, will be treated. An appropriate fee will be charged for these services.
Veterinary services requested by owner at the time of the boarding check-in (checking ears, skin etc.) are subject to regular fees.
If a pet should become ill while boarding, we will provide the necessary medical attention. Appropriate emergency numbers should be left at the time of check-in.
Owners should be aware that some pets are reluctant to eat while boarding. We will feed any diet provided by the owner.
